Bob Sansevere: Vikings safety Husain Abdullah begins observance of Ramadan

Staying true to his Islamic faith, Vikings safety Husain Abdullah began his 30-day fast today in observance of Ramadan. Abdullah, a practicing Muslim who said he began fasting during Ramadan as a 7 year old, cannot eat or drink between sunrise and sunset unless his health is in peril. The Vikings have been working with Abdullah to make sure he gets ample food and liquids during the hours he is able to eat and drink. I talked with Abdullah after today’s morning practice about what he’s going through.
