Our quarterback, who at times seems charmingly enough disturbed with all those bats in his belfry, had major newsgathering institutions wrapped around his paw last week. It was quite a Tuesday. Brett Favre had allegedly sent out a three-word text, ‘this is it,” allegedly received by a couple of his Vikings teammates, and the next thing you know, ‘sources” were reporting that Favre had, for the third time, retired.
