StarCaps history lesson: Before 2008, at least eight NFL players were exonerated after positive tests

In 2006 and ’07, a rash of NFL players tested positive for bumetanide, which troubled Dr. John Lombardo, who had learned that StarCaps, the diuretic they were using, was tainted with the potent drug.
