Taylor Swift To Kick-Off Football Season with Performance
Facebook.com – Become a Fan! Twitter.com – Follow Us! We’re about to see Taylor Swift on the athletic field for the first time since her role in Valentine’s Day. Keep watching for the details. And you’re back at ClevverTV. Hello everyone. I’m Joslyn Davis for ClevverTV with good news for sports fans, and even just Taylor Swift fans. So if you don’t really even like watching NFL games, you might still want to set those timers to tune in come September 9th, because Swifty herself will be kicking off the pro football season with a big performance. Tay and the Dave Matthews Band will hit the field before the Super Bowl Champs, the New Orleans Saints first game. They’ll be going up the Minnesota Vikings and lucky for those of us who don’t have tickets to the shin-dig, it will all be telecast on NBC’s pre-game show. And we’ve got our fingers crossed that Taylor will sing one of her brand new songs…maybe even her new single “Mine.” Or would you guys rather she sings an old favorite? Leave your requests for Taylor Swift right here. And for more updates on the 20 year old songstress, follow @ClevverTV on twitter. Until next time, I’m Joslyn Davis, thanks for watching!

Brett Favre Returns: 10 Predictions For His 2010 Season
Love him or hate him, Brett Favre is back and set to attempt another Super Bowl run with the Minnesota Vikings.
Favre arguably had the best season of his career last year, but fell short yet again in the NFC Championship game, throwing a late interception that cost his team their chance at winning it all.
Despite a myriad of mistakes by the New Orleans Saints, the Vikings found themselves on the losing end of a 31-28 final score last January.
Favre and the Vikings go into 2010 without any obvious weaknesses, especially after No. 4 found his way back to Minneapolis. There will be plenty of expectations from a variety of sources and mediums. Some will see them as a Super Bowl lock. Others say they will crumble in crunch time for a second consecutive year.
There is always chatter about Favre’s return and what to expect from him during the upcoming season. Consider this my attempt to throw my hat into the proverbial ring and present to you 10 predictions for Brett Favre’s 2010 season.

Vikings CB Chris Cook To Miss Season Opener
Just as Minnesota Vikings rookie cornerback Chris Cook was making impressive progress in the preseason pursuit of a starting spot opposite veteran DB Antoine Winfield, a torn meniscus will sideline Cook for at least the season opener next Thursday against the New Orleans Saints.
It was not only an unfortunate turn of events for Cook. It was an especially bad break for the Vikings, who suddenly find themselves short on cornerbacks after recently dealing veteran backup CB Benny Sapp to the Dolphins in exchange for receiver Greg Camarillo.
With incumbent starting corner Cedric Griffin still on the shelf recovering from a torn ACL almost nine months ago, either Asher Allen or Lito Sheppard become the frontrunner to replace Cook with DeAndre Wright and Marcus Sherels providing depth in the defensive backfield.
Unless, of course, the Vikes look at the waiver wire for help until the regulars have healed.

Brett Favre and Javon Walker: Proof The Vikings 2010 Season Is Trouble
Brett Favre and his grey beard finally arrived to save Brad Childress and the Vikings from NFL mortality this past week as he decided to join his “old” teammates in Minnesota. Brett said that he wanted to give it one more shot (sound familiar) and he didn’t want to let his teammates down.
Favre even played in the team’s preseason game this past Sunday night against the 49ers. Favre and his beard were mowed over by Patrick Willis and the Mike Singletary express at Candlestick Park. A nice welcome back present for Brett from Mr. Willis.
Brad Childress and his minions in the great north have begged, prodded, groveled, and all but attempted to mortgage the Viking franchise to old grey beard so that he’ll come back and lead them to the Super Bowl. The Vikings came so close last season; in fact they were only one play away from making a trip to Miami to face the Colts.
But I guess in his old age it is easy for Favre to forget that he threw a pass across his body and it was intercepted by the opposing team of players. The Saints went on to win that game and the Super Bowl as well.
Favre then retreated to his home in Mississippi and the Vikings were left standing by the phone for the entire offseason waiting for Brett to call.
In a nutshell this is how we ended up here: Favre getting booed by fans in San Francisco on Sunday night and Favre being thrown under the bus that he’s driving by tons of sports writers across the country.
The Favre express rolls on for the 2010 season, but this time there are bullet holes and flattened tires. Generally people are tired of Favre and his yearly saga. But that’s not the reason why the Vikings are driving their tractor toward failure.
Earlier this week, news broke that the Vikings were on the verge of signing former Green Bay Packers wide receiver Javon Walker. During his time in Green Bay, Javon developed into a top 10 type of receiver under Favre. In fact, of Walkers 38 career touchdown passes, Brett tossed 20 of those to Javon. So on paper this sounds like a great marriage; Walker, a guy trying to resurrect a dead career in Minnesota after failed stops in Denver and Oakland, and Favre, a guy trying to win a Super Bowl and ride out like Elway did on with Denver Bronco back in the last 90’s.
However there is a hitch in this little match made in heaven.
Back in 2005, when Walker and Favre were teammates in Green Bay, Walker decided to hold out of minicamp in an attempt to squeeze a little more dough out of the Packers. Favre railroaded Javon. Brett even said that guys who miss training camp will “ruin the game.”
Hmmm….
So Favre lambasted an old teammate for holding out and “ruining” the game, yet he misses the Vikings training camp for the 2nd straight year while trying to get his act together.
Pot, allow me to introduce you to the kettle.
There is no way in hell that the Vikings have amassed any goodwill from anything in the football world from this Favre fiasco. Head coach goes for more than broke and sacrifices everything, including the team, for one player and the Vikings expect a Super Bowl run out of this?
Are you telling me that 53 guys in one locker room are okay with the head coach kissing the ring of one player and pretty much ceding control to a grey beard? If you believe that, I have a bridge in Brooklyn I want to sell you.
In the end, we’re all hypocrites and have made bad choices. But this one, this one from the world’s most celebrated country boy quarterback and the likes of Brad Childress, and that hideous headset, just reeks.
The 2010 Minnesota Vikings are one of the most talented teams in the NFL. Just don’t expect them to hoist Favre up on their shoulders come season end. That spot will be reserved for throwing the head coach out of the building.
